Jebsen PTC Maritime proudly honors the vital contributions of Filipino seafarers to the global maritime industry during the celebration of National Maritime Week. This year’s celebration aligns with the World Maritime Day theme, Navigating the Future: Safety First!—a timely reflection of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) efforts to enhance maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.

The week-long celebration, held from September 23 to 27, featured an exciting array of activities and treats for our Global Maritime Professionals (GMPs). The Makati, Cebu, and Iloilo offices all participated in the festivities.

The week kicked off with free Belgian waffles for GMPs reporting to the Makati office on Monday. The treats continued the following day, with GMPs enjoying free Pickup Coffee or Potato Corner snacks. Additionally, HMI provided free back massages throughout the day, giving GMPs a chance to relax. Free health consultations were available on Tuesday, encouraging GMPs to prioritize their well-being during Maritime Week.

The week concluded with Normie Hernandez, Family and Crew Relations Manager, and Jaime Agub, HR Manager, hosting the closing program, where GMPs were once again treated to free coffee, juice, and bread. Raffle and games were also held to end the week on a positive note.

In a symbolic gesture, the Pilgrim Building was lit in blue lights for the entire week, signifying solidarity with the maritime community and the importance of safety in navigating the future. Throughout the week, GMPs had the opportunity to visit partner booths, including BDO, EastWest-HMO, FMCC, Nissin Monde, SunLife, FCR, and I-Fern.

Jebsen PTC continues to support the seafaring community with events that celebrate not only their contributions but also their well-being. Together, let’s navigate the future—safety first!
