Letter from the Senior Vice President
Last year, we met unparalleled challenges brought by the global pandemic. There’s border closures and travel restrictions that made it harder to deploy and repatriate crew. An unprecedented crew change crisis emerged affecting more than thousands of seafarers across the globe. But despite all of these, we are still standing strong and continuing the year with renewed energy and optimism that we will surpass whatever challenge and difficulties this pandemic has brought to the maritime and shipping industry.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone of our crew for their hard work, patience, and perseverance over the last year. You, our dear seafarers, have truly been a vital asset in our company. You’ve been very instrumental in keeping the shipping industry running by doing your work onboard. For that, we are truly grateful and appreciative of your service.
This issue of our Ripple newsletter is a tribute to all of you. In this issue, we recognize the importance of your role in keeping the shipping and global trade afloat and salute your dedication and sacrifices during these challenging times. We hope you are doing okay wherever you are, whether onboard or ashore.
